Good teaching! This is the bold kind of teaching we Christians need to hear! We must not compromise. Up until about a year ago, I kinda struggled with should I "lighten up" on homosexual or transgender folks etc. I found myself working at a job where I was surrounded by 3 of them. So nice but SO confused! Their life was a mess. One was a girl who identified as a guy n changed her name to a guys name n dressed like a guy. She was still dating her ex fiancé who still had feelings for her and stood by her even though you could tell he was in turmoil n pain. The other one same thing - she dressed like a boy n took on a boy nickname except she still dated a guy! Actually 2 guys! Just a confused situation and it goes back to just the flesh having its way and the deception of satin. The other girl was a lesbian and told me she had a wife. I just treated them with kindness because I really didn't have a clearness of how you're supposed to minister to them! Other Christians shunned them- 1 was always rude to them and wanting to debate in a not positive manner. One incident, I did defend them when thief debating Christian person tried
to embarrass on of them. I just leaned on the side of just walk in love with them. She felt like I was accepting. I told her we can't be mean to them. Fast forward-nowadays God is teaching me HOW to approach this sort of spirit and that is with scriptures that speak against that lifestyle. Isaiah 5:20-21 is a very good one to remember and to use when confronted with this. I know better the scriptures in which to combat this erroneous lifestyle. The Word of God says to study to show thyself approved-rightly dividing the word of truth. I asked the Lord to forgive me for not being up to par in this and I've vowed to do better! Thanks for this teaching!

One more thing to mention about Christianity: The roots of Christianity are in 11 disciples who were uniquely placed in history. They (along with a handful of devoted women disciples) saw Jesus after He had been killed and miraculously resurrected. Think about it. The fact that the majority of these men, (including Peter who was crucified upside down) died witnessing for Christ and His resurrection testifies to Christianity's authenticity. The fact that they died as martyrs for their faith doesn't necessarily differentiate them from Muslims or martyrs of other faiths. However, the fact that only they themselves truly knew whether or not Jesus rose from the grave speaks to the authenticity. What did they have to gain? They were persecuted, imprisoned, beaten, and isolated from everyone including their families and neighbors. If they knew that Jesus had not been resurrected do you think they would have gone through that agony? This fact adds to the list of things that point to Christianity being true and that Jesus is truly God.

Hi,
I sorry to hear that.
What happened to make you lose your "faith" in Jesus Christ?
One thing that we must remember is that Christianity is very unique. All other religions except Christianity rely on their good works to justify themselves so that they may get to Heaven. Christianity offers no illusions in that regard. Christians know that we are sinners and there nothing we can do to justify ourselves to the holy and righteous God of the universe. Only Jesus, Himself, perfect and sinless offering Himself on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins can pay our sin debt that we all owe God. Jesus took the rap (and punishment) that each one of us deserves! Only He can justify us and makes us clean again.
Have you ever prayed to God and for forgiveness for your sins and asked Jesus to take control of your life?

Blessings,
Greg

I tend to be a very emotional peorsn. You penned it perfectly saying that regardless of our emotions God is always there, and always our strength. He is a God that never fails us, loves us unconditionally, and will never ever leave us. Thanks for this reminder!!

It's been over five years now since I lost my faith, and I still haven't found anything that would make me think Christianity is any more true than any other faith. In each faith I see ppeloe acting in admirable ways, finding ways to interpret texts in a more modern light, and leaving out the barbaric parts. These days I'm less concerned with what motivates ppeloe to do positive things, and am just happy that they are doing positive things. The only times I speak out against religion is when it is used to harm ppeloe, which, sadly, still happens way too often.

Hi Greg,

Just checking out the website! Good stuff and I particularly like this writing Called out to be more. This is what I of late, have constantly reminding myself of. I have never fit in- be it school, jobs and even women's church groups! The more that I study the Word of God - His Word illuminates me and I'm ok with me. I'm not called to be like or look like the world. I am "called out."! Amen.
Good teaching- keep up the good work in the Lord.
